Arab Horse Archers

Arab armies often used tactics of "hit and run" against their foes.
Light cavalry armed with bows or javelins would often be used for this task.
Arabs taught their children archery from a young age, the Second Caliph in Islam Umar advised Arab fathers to teach their sons archery, swimming, riding horses.
The Bedouin Archers were less efficient than the Turks,
but they could inflict casualties in the light infantry.
